This is a WIP sequel to https://blazingsword.itch.io/over-run

(Due to low sales on the first game I'm moving on to different projects but I'll leave this up to gauge if anyone wants more. Due to more realistic graphics I've assigned an M-rating and listed this as non-workplace appropriate just to be safe.)

OVER RUN 2 is a real-time Tactical squad game where your survivors attempt to hold off waves of zombies and other desperate souls. During the day explore the town and gather supplies. (There is no night in the current Pre-Alpha.) At night defend your location from waves of enemies. Each survivor has special skills shown above their portrait.

In this Free Pre-Alpha you can:

  • Control the four characters
  • Fight Zombies and enemy survivors
  • Order allies to positions, Follow, or to  attack specific targets

Controls:

  • WASD - move main survivor
  • Left Click - select or order other survivors
  • Right Click - fire weapon
  • Q & E - rotate camera
  • Mouse Wheel - zoom camera
  • Left Clicking the bottom buttons and portraits to activate powers and choice who to directly control. Under each portrait is a "Toggle Follow" mode and a reset  current order button.

Good job on the basic gameplay! Choosing the characters, telling the others to follow, and movement/shooting works well. It's lacking a core gameplay loop though - adding the resource gathering and the defend mode would give players a better feel for what to expect from the final product. This type of game seems like a large project for a solo developer though. Good luck with your current/future projects!

Thanks for the feedback! It's got a long way to go and I've scaled back to focus on smaller projects for now. This project is defiantly one I hope to revisit some day.
